Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has sparked concern among fans after breaking down in tears in a new video where she opened up about her emotional struggles and hinted that she might return to her husband.
In the video shared via her Instagram Story on Friday morning, the actress said she was battling mental and emotional stress, admitting that she felt like she was losing control.
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody,” she said tearfully.
Her emotional outburst came barely a day after she celebrated the reconciliation of her parents, who had been estranged for years.
“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” Daniels wrote in a post on Thursday.
She revealed that her parents are now in Abuja, working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy, who has reportedly been detained for several days.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she said.
In another clip shared by the actress, fellow star Mercy Johnson was seen searching for Sammy, saying, “He’s not here,” before leaving to continue the search.
Struggling to hold back tears, Daniels said, “Every time I wake up, I say one thing — oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back.”
The video has stirred widespread concern, coming weeks after Daniels hinted at domestic violence in her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko.
On October 18, a video showed the actress crying as she said, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Nwoko later denied the claims, alleging that his wife’s emotional outburst was caused by “drug and alcohol abuse” and saying she needed rehabilitation.
