Ghanaian singer Captan has claimed that his former record label boss Shatta Wale once bailed Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy out of custody.

The musician disclosed the controversial past event during a recent entertainment podcast interview. He alleged that the Grammy-winning Nigerian artist was arrested by security officials in Ghana for smoking illegal substances.

Captan stated that Shatta Wale personally deployed him and a group of associates to secure the immediate freedom of the detained singer. He further alleged that their musical camp later provided safe accommodation for Burna Boy when dangerous individuals were actively hunting him. According to his account, the Ghanaian dancehall faction stepped in to help the Nigerian star settle the life-threatening matter permanently.

Former record label associates open to future reconciliation

The performer noted that his personal relationship with Burna Boy deteriorated completely following the singer’s fallout with his former mentor Shatta Wale. The two prominent West African music icons have engaged in several high-profile public feuds over the past few years. Despite the ongoing industry friction, Captan clarified that their camp remains open to settling their differences amicably.

He stated that both he and Shatta Wale are willing to reconcile with the Nigerian music giant under proper conditions. However, the singer emphasized that Burna Boy must initiate the peace process by asking for a reconciliation first. The shocking historical revelation has triggered intense conversations among entertainment enthusiasts across both West African countries.
