Renowned American rapper Snoop Dogg has lost his granddaughter, Codi, following the death of the 10-month-old child, his daughter Cori Broadus announced on Saturday.
Cori disclosed the sad development via her social media handle, where she shared a black-and-white photograph of herself holding the baby. In the emotional post, she described Codi as the “love of my life,” and revealed that the infant passed away earlier in the week.
Codi was born three months premature and spent much of her life receiving medical care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Cori had previously spoken publicly about the baby’s health struggles and the family’s prayers during the prolonged hospital stay.
Only weeks ago, Cori shared a hopeful update, posting a photo of herself resting with her daughter and expressing gratitude that their prayers had been answered.
The baby’s father, Wayne Deuce, also paid tribute to Codi in a heartfelt message, stating that he would always cherish her memory.
The loss has drawn widespread sympathy, with fans and well-wishers sending messages of condolence to the Broadus family as they mourn the tragic passing of the infant.
