Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has revealed the growing challenges she faces with personal safety in her Lekki estate, saying she can no longer take walks alone like she did while living in Magodo.
In a recent interview, Aladese explained that walking at night was a normal part of her routine when she lived in Magodo, even at 2 a.m., but her experience changed after moving to Lekki. “Walking was part of my routine in Magodo, but here in Lekki, I’ve had several instances where strange men followed me,” she said.
Recalling a particularly frightening encounter, the actress said, “On this fateful day, it was God that saved me. Since then, I decided to buy and use a treadmill at home.”
Aladese’s testimony underscores growing concerns about personal safety in some parts of Lagos, highlighting how residents are now reconsidering outdoor activities. For many, home-based solutions like treadmills are becoming the safer alternative.
