Defending champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, are set to arrive in Rabat today as they enter the final stretch of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Head coach Justine Madugu’s side spent the last week stationed in Casablanca for an intensive training camp. The squad reached its full strength of 25 players following the late arrival of Gift Monday and Deborah Abiodun at the team’s base on Friday night.
Formal reception and tournament opener
The Nigerian delegation will be officially received by representatives from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) on Saturday.
The team heads to the host city fresh off a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars in a tune-up match on Friday. The Super Falcons will officially launch their title defense next Tuesday when they face off against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
