Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natasha Akide, known as Tacha, is urging Nigerians to broaden their focus of accountability beyond President Bola Tinubu. In a viral video released on Monday,

Tacha criticized the public for directing frustrations solely at the president while overlooking the roles of governors, senators, and local government chairmen.

Tacha highlighted the recent disbursement of ₦2.2 trillion by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) to federal, state, and local governments, emphasizing the issue of mismanagement. She pointed out instances of substantial funds allocated to local government chairmen, with little to show for it, while the blame often falls on the presidency.

The reality star argued that public outrage is often misdirected, particularly towards the president and states like Lagos, which she considers to be a high-performing state.

She challenged citizens to hold their representatives accountable, noting that many Nigerians are unaware of who their local government chairmen are, let alone holding them accountable for their performance.

Tacha emphasized the importance of holding all leaders accountable, urging Nigerians to demand results from state governors, local government chairmen, House of Representatives members, and senators. She concluded by encouraging citizens to “drag everybody” in leadership positions, shifting the focus from a single political office.

This call to action follows FAAC’s August 2025 meeting, where a total of ₦2.2 trillion was distributed among the federal, state, and local governments.
