Media personality Toke Makinwa didn’t hold back when a social‑media troll criticised Nigerian women who date multiple partners before marriage.
When the troll tweeted:
“Nigeria girls should be wise… now she’s chasing someone with a prison case…”
Makinwa responded bluntly with one word: “You are MAD.”
She then expanded her response to criticise the wider issue of how women in Nigeria are judged for their choices:
“To be a woman in Nigeria is extremely exhausting… Once a woman’s choice doesn’t sit well with your ego… I’m so happy women know they don’t have to settle for rubbish anymore.”
The troll continued with a personal attack, but Makinwa remained firm, pointing out the hypocrisy and demanding respect for women’s autonomy.
