Nigeria’s Flying Eagles played out a 0-0 draw against Morocco in their second Group B match at the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The match, held at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo, saw Nigeria dominate the first half but fail to find the back of the net. The team managed only one shot on target despite creating more chances early on.
Morocco improved after the break but didn’t create much in front of goal. Nigerian goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt had a quiet game with little to do.
With the result, both teams now have four points each, but Morocco stay top of the group due to a better goal difference.
In the other Group B match, Tunisia climbed to third place after beating Kenya 3-1 earlier in the day.
Nigeria will face Kenya on Wednesday in their final group game as they aim to qualify for the knockout stage.
