Goncalo Ramos came off the bench to score a dramatic late winner as Paris St-Germain beat Barcelona in the Champions League.
Barcelona went ahead when Ferran Torres finished off a low cross from Marcus Rashford. Rashford has now scored or assisted in five of Barca’s last six games.
PSG, last season’s treble winners, equalised when Nuno Mendes set up 19-year-old Senny Mayulu, who calmly slotted the ball home.
The French side, missing several key players through injury, kept pushing and got their reward in stoppage time. Ramos struck first-time from Achraf Hakimi’s cross to seal the victory — the first time any away side has ever scored a last-minute winner in Europe against Barcelona.
“I think we deserved the win,” said Ramos. “We played better than them. We want to win everything again. Last season is not enough. We want more.”
The result leaves PSG on six points from two matches, while Barcelona stay on three.
PSG won last season’s Champions League in style, hammering Inter Milan 5-0 in the final, and they may be the team to beat again.
Despite injuries to big names like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and captain Marquinhos, plus losing Joao Neves in the warm-up, PSG showed their strength.
Barca started well, with Rashford and youngster Lamine Yamal causing problems, but PSG’s full-backs made the difference. Mendes and Hakimi created both goals with their attacking runs.
Mayulu scored his second Champions League goal, after also finding the net in last season’s final, before Ramos sealed the win with his late strike.
PSG even hit the post through Lee Kang-in before their decisive goal, showing just how dangerous they remained until the end.
