Popular US rapper Eminem has paid tribute to Lord Sear, the renowned hip hop DJ and longtime collaborator on his radio channel Shade 45, who has died at the age of 53.

Taking to X, Eminem wrote:

“Our time on @Shade45 together was always some of my favorite interviews. He made the world a better place and I’m gonna seriously miss that. Rest in peace Lil Trey aka @LordSear!!!”

Eminem added that Sear was “one of the greatest people to be around” and recalled fondly how he made him laugh during their tours.

Lord Sear had been a DJ on Shade 45 since the station’s launch in 2004 and also joined Eminem on the Anger Management Tour in the early 2000s. His cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.

Sear’s contribution to hip hop and his enduring friendship with Eminem cemented his legacy in the music industry, leaving fans and colleagues mourning his loss
