Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is close to joining AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface’s agent is travelling to Italy today to hold final talks with the Serie A club.
Both clubs have already agreed on a deal that will see the 24-year-old move to Milan on an initial loan. The agreement includes a €30m option for Milan to buy him permanently.
Boniface was one of Leverkusen’s standout players last season and attracted interest from several European clubs. Milan want him to strengthen their attack ahead of the new campaign.
The transfer will be completed once personal terms and medicals are finalised.
If the move goes through, Boniface will join the list of Nigerian strikers who have played in Serie A, following in the footsteps of Nwankwo Kanu, Obafemi Martins and Victor Osimhen.
