Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has made history at Turkish giants Galatasaray, becoming one of the club’s top foreign scorers after netting in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Barış Alper Yılmaz opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 19th minute before Yunus Akgün doubled the lead. Osimhen then sealed the win in the 73rd minute, taking his tally for the club to 52 goals.
With this strike, Osimhen surpassed Bafétimbi Gomis’ 51 goals to enter the club’s all-time list of highest scoring foreign players, a remarkable milestone in his Galatasaray career.
The list of Galatasaray’s all-time foreign scorers now reads: Mauro Icardi (73), Gheorghe Hagi (72), Milan Baros (61), Victor Osimhen (52), and Bafétimbi Gomis (51).
Osimhen’s feat highlights his growing influence at the club as he continues to break records and cement his legacy among Galatasaray’s foreign stars.
