Paul Pogba was overcome with emotion as he signed a two-year contract with AS Monaco, marking a powerful return to football after more than a year on the sidelines.

The 32-year-old French midfielder, once one of the most talked-about names in world football, broke down in tears on Saturday during the emotional moment that sealed his comeback.

Pogba has been without a club since Juventus terminated his contract following a doping suspension. Initially handed a four-year ban in August 2023, the sanction was later reduced to 18 months, allowing him to return to professional play in 2025.

In a video shared online, Pogba is seen resting his head on the table, visibly emotional, as he prepares to sign. After putting pen to paper, he lowers his head again, fighting back tears while being comforted by a representative and AS Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro.

His last competitive match was in September 2023. Now, with Monaco offering him a second chance, Pogba is ready to reignite his career and rewrite his story in Ligue 1.

The moment has sparked an outpouring of support from fans around the world, many calling it a “redemption arc” for the World Cup winner.
