Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has shocked many after revealing that she once had a serious plan to become a pastor at age 19 but she walked away from it at the last minute.
According to Tonto, she has felt a strong spiritual calling since childhood and remained committed to church activities, especially after finishing secondary school. But despite being so close to entering full-time ministry, she admitted she “ran away” from that path at 19.
She also explained that even though she didn’t go through with becoming a pastor back then, her connection to faith has never left her — and she believes many of the difficult moments she has experienced in life were part of a divine process shaping her journey.
This isn’t the first time she has spoken about her pastor dreams, as she has previously mentioned in interviews that she was once a “church girl” who still believes she might return to that calling someday.
