Pop superstar Justin Bieber surprised fans in Scotland after filming his latest music video inside a closed bar in Dundee over the weekend.

The 31-year-old singer walked into Bird and Bear pub on Saturday night and asked if he could use its adjoining nightclub, Abandon Ship, which wasn’t even open at the time.

Rai Wright, the 24-year-old manager, said Bieber “just walked in like a regular guy” and asked if they could “get some DJ decks” and “create some club vibes.”

Although the venue was short-staffed and officially closed, Wright agreed to open it up for him. “When he rocked up, we couldn’t really say no,” she said.

Bieber spent the evening doing whisky shots, drinking Guinness, playing card games, and dancing with friends as cameras rolled. “He was lovely and easygoing,” Wright added. “He even played ‘Ring of Fire’ and left cards everywhere — I’m still finding them.”

The impromptu session turned into a video shoot for Bieber’s new single ‘Bad Honey,’ which he later shared on Instagram with the caption: “Bad Honey video for your headtops.” The clip has already racked up over 116,000 likes.

The bar later confirmed the visit on Facebook, writing: “You might have heard we had a special visitor over the weekend. Enjoy Justin Bieber laying down a new video for Bad Honey live at Abandon Ship right here in Dundee, Scotland.”

Earlier that day, Bieber was also spotted in St Andrews, where he grabbed fish and chips and a beer at Cromars restaurant, posing for photos with fans.

From fish and chips to whisky shots, Bieber’s unexpected Scottish night out has now become the talk of the town — and the internet.
