AC Milan have ended their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface after he failed medical exams focused on his right knee, a limb previously operated on twice for ACL injuries and prone to recurrent muscular issues.
Despite agreeing to a €5 million loan with a €24 million buy option, the medical concerns proved too serious. Four separate tests raised doubts over the long-term integrity of his knee, particularly after recent individual training may have worsened the condition.
With the deal officially off, Milan are now working on alternative striker options, while Boniface returns to Germany amid online criticism that he has publicly addressed.
