Veteran music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has shared insights into the personal costs of his successful career in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Speaking on the Echo Podcast, the 42-year-old revealed that he may have unconsciously sacrificed marriage in his journey to the top.
Don Jazzy admitted he never anticipated reaching his 40s without being married. “I never thought I’d be in my 40s and not married. Maybe that’s the one I lost along the way. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, I’m totally fine,” he stated.
Despite the trade-offs, the hitmaker, known for shaping the careers of stars like Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Ayra Starr, emphasized his deep fulfillment with his achievements in the music industry. He added that his career would still revolve around music, regardless of whether he was a record label executive.
