Wizkid becomes first African artiste to hit 10 Billion Spotify streams

Wizkid, the Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, has become the first African artist to reach over ten billion streams on Spotify. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the "Ojuelegba" crooner in the global music scene.

Wizkid's streams across all credits on the platform recently hit the 10 billion mark. His most streamed song is a collaboration with Drake and Tyla, which has almost 4 billion streams. His album ‘Made In Lagos Deluxe’ is his most streamed project, with over a billion streams. As a lead artist, his song "Essence" featuring Tems has over 333 million streams.

In other music news, Billie Eilish's "Birds Of A Feather" has surpassed Tones and I's "Dance Monkey" as the most streamed solo song by a female artist on Spotify, with 3.37 billion streams.
