Gabon’s head coach, Thierry Mouyouma, has released a strong 26-man list for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash against Nigeria.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Libreville on Thursday, with the squad featuring captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, midfield powerhouse Mario Lemina, and in-form striker Denis Bouanga.
Bouanga, who has been in blistering form, leads the team’s scoring chart with eight goals in the qualifiers, while Aubameyang follows closely with seven.
The Panthers will lock horns with the Super Eagles in the semi-final of the playoffs on Thursday, November 13, at the El Barid Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
Gabon, who have never reached the World Cup finals, will be hoping to make history by securing their first-ever qualification, while Nigeria aims to return to the global stage after missing the 2022 edition in Qatar.
