WWE legend, Hulk Hogan dies at 71

WWE legend Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71. The wrestling star, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

According to U.S. media, emergency responders rushed to his residence on Thursday morning after a distress call. Paramedics and police were seen outside the home before Hogan was taken out on a stretcher and moved into an ambulance.

Hogan was one of the biggest names in wrestling history. He rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, headlining WWE (then WWF) with his iconic “Hulkamania” persona. Known for his charisma and powerful performances, Hogan became a global superstar, selling out arenas and dominating pay-per-view events.

WWE confirmed his death in a statement stating, “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Tributes have started pouring in from fans and fellow wrestlers worldwide for the man who changed the face of professional wrestling.
