Nollywood actor and entertainer, Charles Okocha, has taken his preparation for his rematch with Portable to another level — this time bringing singer Yemi Alade into his training camp.
Okocha shared a hilarious video on Instagram showing himself and the “Mama Africa” singer throwing playful punches and doing light boxing drills ahead of his July 31 celebrity boxing rematch with Portable.
The actor, who lost to Portable in their first fight, used the video to send a fresh warning to the street-pop singer.
“Quick session with ma sis Mama Africa @yemialade. Getting ready to destr0y Portable on the 31st,” he wrote.
But fans quickly turned the training session into a comedy show.
Many joked that Yemi Alade appeared to be boxing with emotion after she was seen getting too close to Okocha during the session, while others mocked the actor by predicting another defeat.
One fan described Okocha as “phenomenal,” while another wrote that Portable would beat him again.
The rematch is one of the major attractions of Chaos in the Ring, scheduled for July 31 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The fight revives the long-running rivalry between Okocha and Portable, which started in 2023 after Portable accused the actor of failing to honour a business agreement.
Their online feud later moved into the ring, where Portable defeated Okocha after four rounds.
Okocha has since insisted the first fight did not show his real ability and has repeatedly demanded another chance.
For Portable, the rematch also comes at a sensitive time, as he looks to bounce back after losing his celebrity boxing title to streamer Carter Efe.
