Wunmi, widow of late singer Mohbad, has spoken out fiercely amid the ongoing DNA test controversy involving her son, Liam.
In an Instagram story, Wunmi revealed that a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) recently withdrew from the case a development she says underscores the delays and manoeuvring by her father-in-law.
Addressing her father-in-law directly, she warned:
“You can get as many lawyers as you want from anywhere in the world, but one thing is certain you cannot manipulate this DNA.”
Wunmi stressed that she has never opposed the test, adding:
“We have cooperated from day one. We have never opposed a DNA test. We showed up. We waited. We followed the law.”
Her statement comes shortly after a court order was issued restricting public commentary from several individuals in connection with the case showing the legal pressures surrounding the matter.
She ended her post with a firm pledge of faith in truth and justice, saying she believes the facts will prevail for her son Liam, for Mohbad, and for justice overall.
