Nollywood star Yul Edochie just set social media ablaze with a bold statement: being a Christian and a Traditionalist doesn’t mean you’re worshipping two different gods—it’s the same God, just honored in two distinct ways .
In a passionate Instagram post, he emphasized:
“Being a Christian and a Traditionalist doesn’t mean you’re serving 2 Gods. No. It means you’re serving the same God in 2 different ways.”
Yul’s message responds to critics questioning his journey since embracing roles as both a prophet and native doctor—following his breakup with wife May Edochie. Earlier this year, he revealed that divine instruction led him to reconnect with ancestral traditions, which he says brought a sense of wholeness.
This declaration unsettles more than a few, rekindling age-old clashes between Christian doctrine and indigenous spirituality in Nigeria. For Yul, there’s no contradiction—just unity.
