Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has warned that his former club “desperately” needs to recruit a genuine right winger, expressing skepticism over reports linking the Reds with Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
Negotiations have reportedly opened for the French attacker, but Carragher remains unconvinced that Barcola is the right candidate to succeed Mohamed Salah at Anfield.

Responding to a Sky Sports post on X asking if Barcola could serve as Salah’s long-term replacement, the pundit pointed out a clear positional flaw in the transfer strategy.
Carragher highlighted that Liverpool already possess multiple options capable of operating on the left side, arguing that the recruitment focus should strictly be on acquiring a natural right-sided forward to balance the squad.
