Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has once again spoken about the never-ending debate over who is the greatest footballer of all time — him or Lionel Messi.
In a new interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, the Al Nassr and Portugal captain made it clear that he doesn’t believe Messi is better than him.
When asked by Morgan, “They say Messi is better than you, what do you think?” Ronaldo replied confidently:
“Messi better than me? I don’t agree with that opinion. I don’t want to be humble.”
The 39-year-old was also asked about his former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who has publicly said he prefers Messi. Ronaldo brushed it off, saying, “It doesn’t bother me at all.”
The rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi has dominated football for nearly two decades, with both players winning multiple titles and individual awards.
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times, while Messi holds the record with eight.
