Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced July 31 as the release date for his sixth studio album, ‘ORIADÉ’.

The singer made the announcement in a social media post on Monday, unveiling the project as he marks 15 years in the music industry.

The album title, ‘ORIADÉ’, is drawn from two Yoruba words: “ori”, meaning head or destiny, and “adé”, meaning crown.

Davido, born David Adeleke, said the project reflects a new phase of gratitude, reflection and purpose in his career.

The singer has not yet released the full tracklist or announced the featured artistes expected on the album.

‘ORIADÉ’ is led by the single, ‘I Know Who I Be’, which was released on June 26.

The forthcoming album will serve as Davido’s follow-up to his 2025 project, ‘5ive’, and is expected to further strengthen his place as one of Afrobeats’ most influential global figures.

Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro’, the hit single from his debut album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.

Since then, he has released several major projects, including ‘A Good Time’ in 2019, ‘A Better Time’ in 2020, ‘Timeless’ in 2023 and ‘5ive’ in 2025.

Beyond his music career, Davido is also the founder of Davido Music Worldwide, DMW, a record label established in 2016.

The label has served as a platform for several Nigerian music talents and remains one of the notable Afrobeats labels in the country.

With ‘ORIADÉ’ set for release on July 31, fans are now awaiting more details on the album’s collaborators, tracklist and sound direction.
