American actor and rapper Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, has revealed that he suffered a stroke during a stage performance in 2024.
Speaking during a performance in Los Angeles, Glover said the health scare forced him to cancel part of his tour.
“I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t see properly. When we got to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor told me, ‘You had a stroke,’” he said.
Glover reflected on the experience, saying, “They say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realise you have one. You’ve got one life, and I’ve been truly blessed to share mine with you all.”
He also highlighted the importance of prioritising health, explaining that he postponed his world tour to recover.
“As my wife says, which I love, ‘If this life is the flavour, as soon as I’m done, give me another scoop,’” Glover added.
