Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez has arrived in London to undergo medical examinations ahead of a permanent transfer to Chelsea.
The two Premier League clubs reached an agreement on a transfer fee of around £7.5 million for the 33-year-old Argentina international.

According to football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Martínez is expected to sign a contract through June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional season. The move will be finalized over the weekend to complete his transition to Stamford Bridge.
In related transfer developments, Romano also reported that Manchester United are evaluating a loan proposal from Serie A side Fiorentina for forward Joshua Zirkzee. The potential deal includes a €5 million loan fee, full salary coverage by the Italian club, and an option to buy, with the Dutch international set to make a decision on his future shortly.
