Released by Plutomania Records on Friday, August 14, to celebrate his 21st birthday, Famous Pluto, born Osahon Uzama, released his three-track project On My Birthday.
His last release was his album Street Therapist, released on May 15 and consisting of 11 tracks. The track “Lakute” blew up much more than the rest through its Nigerian Amapiano dance trend on TikTok, gaining significant attention on the platform.
The first track on the project, “Tap Am,” is extremely catchy and stays close to his usual sound and style. The song has gained huge traction through its dance trend on social media platforms, giving it even more attention. Famous Pluto has also been doing videos of the dance himself, further promoting the song.
“Fast and Furious” comes next. As the name implies, the song is fast-paced and not exactly as danceable as “Tap Am.” Famous Pluto raps at a faster pace, matching the energy of the fast-paced beat. You can also hear guitar riffs in the production, adding another element to the song.
Then comes “Ganja,” which is much calmer and not a sound you would immediately associate with someone like Famous Pluto. He features Corizo on the track, with Famous Pluto singing to the beat while Corizo raps.
Famous Pluto’s songs don’t usually sound distinctively different from one another, but On My Birthday feels different. Each song has its own sound, vibe and aesthetic, allowing him to explore different versions of his sound across the three tracks.
