Former child actress Raquel Lee Bolleau has filed a civil negligence lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Bolleau alleges that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted and supplied with alcohol by an adult male employee during the filming of the 2001 Disney Channel original movie The Poof Point when she was 14 years old.
Details of the Lawsuit and Allegations
According to the complaint, Disney personnel and director Neal Israel directed Bolleau to “bond with, get close to, and trust” the unidentified middle-aged employee. The filing claims her parent/guardian was routinely kept away from set, leaving the minor unsupervised while the individual allegedly made explicit comments, provided alcohol, and sexually assaulted her.
The complaint details that when Bolleau returned to the set showing clear signs of distress and intoxication, studio executives failed to provide medical care or launch an investigation. Instead, executives allegedly blamed the minor’s behavior branding her “out of control” and subsequently cancelled her involvement in an upcoming Disney project, impacting her long-term career.
