American singer and actress Coco Jones has sparked debate after sharing her perspective on equality in relationships, arguing that expecting a strict 50/50 split isn’t always fair for women.
The 28-year-old Let-It-Shine star explained in an interview that women often face unique challenges, including hormonal changes and societal pressures, which make exact equality difficult to achieve.
“Men and women aren’t always experiencing life the same way,” Jones said, adding that expecting equal contributions across the board doesn’t always make sense.
“I don’t want to feel like I have to work, clean, cook, and still be hot and sexy. That’s just not fair,” she added.
Jones emphasised that balance in a relationship should focus less on evenly splitting responsibilities and more on finding a “yin and yang” dynamic that works for both partners.
