Businesswoman and billionaire’s wife, Shade Okoya, says she has no regrets about marrying her much older husband, Chief Razak Okoya.
In a recent interview with BBC Yoruba, Shade, now 48, said marrying her husband at 21 did not stop her from enjoying life. Chief Okoya, now 85, was already a well-known businessman when they got married in 1999.
Responding to people who question her decision to marry someone far older, Shade said she’s never felt like she missed out on anything by not marrying a younger man.
“My husband has been very generous and supportive. God planned it this way. He liked me from the beginning and didn’t waste time,” she said.
“I’m happy in my marriage. He’s older, but I’ve never felt like I lost anything.”
