Popular comedian Basketmouth (Bright Okpocha) has dropped a hot take that’s shaking tables online. According to him, Nigeria is one of the best countries in the world — but only if you have money.

In a recent chat, Basketmouth explained that the wealthy in Nigeria enjoy the good life with access to comfort, opportunities, and luxury, while the ordinary citizen is left battling inflation, bad roads, epileptic power supply, and the daily hustle just to survive.

His blunt statement has stirred mixed reactions on social media. While many Nigerians agree that “the country only favors those with deep pockets,” others believe the comedian simply said out loud what everyone already knows but refuses to admit: Nigeria is heaven for the rich, but hell for the poor.

One Twitter user wrote: “Basketmouth didn’t lie. If you’re rich in Nigeria, you live like royalty. But for the poor, every day is a fight.”
