Actress Iyabo Ojo has finally responded to the serious claims made by social media activist VeryDarkMan, who accused her and other celebrities of sabotaging justice for the late singer, Mohbad.

In a video shared on Sunday, August 3, Iyabo warned VeryDarkMan against leaking any private WhatsApp chats, saying it is a criminal offence.

“It’s a crime to post private chats, and I’m sure you know the law,” she said. “But if the right authorities request it, I have people who can provide it. I’ve already left the group.”

Her reaction comes days after VeryDarkMan alleged that she led a secret WhatsApp group used to spread false information and plot his arrest. He claimed the group included Samklef, Davido’s associate Dre, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and others.

According to him, the group was created shortly after Mohbad’s death in September 2023, and was used to silence people like him who asked uncomfortable questions. He also linked the leak of his nude video and his time in prison to the same group.

VeryDarkMan had promised to release a screen recording of the group chat, saying it would expose how the public was misled.

Now, with Iyabo Ojo warning of legal consequences and confirming she was once part of the group, many are asking: what’s really inside that chat?
