Nigerian influencer Michelle Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, has issued a public apology to activist VeryDarkMan, businessman Seyi Tinubu and the Ooni of Ife following a dramatic online feud that spiralled into controversy.

The influencer made the apology in a video shared on her social media pages days after a heated clash with VeryDarkMan triggered widespread debate across Nigerian social media.

The saga began when Mitchy claimed she had renovated a school within six days and challenged the activist to provide ₦50 million to support the renovation of additional schools.

The challenge quickly escalated into a public dispute after the activist reportedly questioned the source of funds for her business and philanthropic activities.

Tensions rose further when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president, was behind the funding of Mitchy’s charitable efforts – a claim that sparked intense reactions online.

The row soon took a dramatic turn after the influencer’s business Instagram page was reportedly taken down amid the growing controversy.

In a disturbing moment that alarmed viewers, Mitchy later appeared in a live video where she was seen consuming a substance believed to be a bleach brand known as “hypo,” prompting concern among followers.

The situation became even more chaotic when her management announced that she had died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja, claiming medical efforts to revive her had failed.

But the claim was swiftly dismissed by the hospital, which insisted the influencer had never been admitted to the facility.

“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our facility in Abuja is FALSE. King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” the hospital said.

Her team later issued a fresh update on Instagram clarifying that the influencer was alive and recovering.

In the apology video, Mitchy expressed regret over her actions and the role she played in escalating the dispute.

“My brother VeryDarkMan, I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have come at you like that. Now I understand you and what you are doing for Nigeria,” she said.

“For some days now, I’ve reflected on all I’ve done and I see it wasn’t right, especially considering there are many young girls out there.

“To Seyi Tinubu, I’m sorry. I know I apologised privately but everything happened in public.

“To the Ooni of Ife, I’m deeply sorry for bringing your name into this.”
