American rapper Lil Nas X has revealed that he is experiencing partial paralysis on the right side of his face.
The Grammy-winning artist posted a video on Instagram from his hospital bed, showing that he could only move the left side of his face while trying to smile.
“You want a smile? This is me doing a full smile by the way. It is like, what the f**k, I cannot even laugh right. So…,” he said in the video.
He also wrote in the caption, “Soo lost control of the right side of my face.”
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comment section with messages of support and well wishes for his quick recovery.
Lil Nas X did not say what exactly caused the condition, but many viewers said it reminded them of Justin Bieber’s Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis in 2022, which led to full facial paralysis on one side and forced Bieber to cancel his tour.
Lil Nas X rose to global fame in 2019 with his hit song ‘Old Town Road’ and has since won multiple awards. That same year, he also came out as gay, becoming one of the most prominent LGBTQ+ voices in music.
