Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with former midfielder and coach Michael Carrick to take over as the club’s interim manager until the end of the season, Sky Sports reported on Tuesday.
Carrick is set to return to Old Trafford in a caretaker capacity as United look to stabilise performances following a turbulent period both on and off the pitch.
While the deal is currently verbal, a formal announcement is expected once all final details are concluded.
