Comedian‑activist Mr Macaroni just didn’t hold back as he blasted NIDCOM boss Abike Dabiri‑Erewa for her soft‑pedal tweet about Kwam1’s apology following the airport drama. She had tweeted, “Kwam1’s apology on the airport incident. To err is human,” and Macaroni was not here for it. He called it “highly reprehensible” and said bluntly: “You don’t deserve to hold a public office.” According to him, that message dangerously suggests Nigerians can commit crimes, say “sorry,” and walk free god forbid.
Mr Macaroni didn’t stop there he pointed out the glaring hypocrisy in how justice plays out in Naija. He compared Kwam1’s smooth apology lane to how the Ibom Air passenger ended up in Kirikiri almost immediately after her humiliation. “The speed at which the lady in this Ibom Air saga was sent to Kirikiri is the same speed all those involved in her dehumanization should be sent to prison,” he fired.
Calling for accountability across the board, he even tagged Minister Festus Keyamo with a challenge: “It is not enough to tweet, show workings! The lady is already in Kirikiri, abi? What about the punishment for blocking an aircraft?” And he wrapped up by lamenting that in Nigeria, “what is good for the goose is definitely not good for the gander.”
