Neymar Jr’s father has revealed that several top European clubs, including those playing in the UEFA Champions League, are interested in signing the Brazilian forward.

The 33-year-old, who returned to Santos in January after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, could be on the move again as his short-term deal nears its end.

Neymar rejoined his boyhood club Santos as a free agent after Al-Hilal ended his contract due to recurring injuries. Since then, there has been speculation about what’s next for the former Barcelona and PSG star.

Speaking to French outlet L’Equipe, Neymar Sr confirmed that talks with interested clubs are scheduled to begin this week.

“We’re going to Miami to speak with some clubs,” he said. “Yes, some of them are in the Champions League. They know Neymar is ready for a strong season.”

However, he also left the door open for Neymar to remain in Brazil, saying the local market is still a possibility.

Neymar’s next move will depend on the outcome of those talks and how both sides view his readiness for top-level football after his injury setbacks.
