According to a recent post on Nkechi Blessing Sunday’s Instagram, the Nollywood actress opened up about a recent dating experience that left her unimpressed and determined to hold out until she meets someone who shows genuine care.
She recounted that after a minor car accident which left two tyres ruined the man she was speaking to simply asked if she was okay, then ghosted her when she told him about the ordeal.
Nkechi explained that she wasn’t expecting financial help; just a sign of concern or support a simple gesture that would show he cared. She felt his silence spoke louder than words: this man wasn’t serious about her well-being.
By contrast, she recalled a friend who, upon hearing she had work in Abuja, immediately offered to handle her hotel costs. Even when she insisted she’d manage, he still volunteered to help a move Nkechi says showed real character and care.
She ended with the message: she values her independence, but she also believes a partner should be willing to step up when it counts. For now she’s single, and open to more than one option; but she makes it clear: she won’t settle for a man who can’t show he’s ready to care
