Nigerian superstar Olamide didn’t stay silent this time. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he addressed the chilling wave of violence hitting the nation, triggered by the deadly attack on a church in Kwara and harrowing abductions in Kebbi.
The rapper-turned-voice-of-the-people wrote, “Our nation has been hit by an alarming wave of one tragedy after another we are struggling to process the devastating attack even as we mourn the loss of promising young minds kidnapped in Kebbi.”
Making no secret of his concern, he urged Nigerians to pull together: “We as a people must unite to work and pray for the safe return of those kidnapped. The right to life and education is fundamental. This can’t be our reality. Peace should be a certainty, not just a desperate prayer.”
Fans and followers quickly took to the comments, applauding his bravery to speak out. But whispers are circulating could Olamide be positioning himself as more than just a musical icon?
