Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has spoken out on the rising trend of actors dancing on social media to promote films, stating that she will not participate in such practices.

In a recent interview, Omotola emphasized that while she enjoys dancing, she does not believe it should be used as a marketing obligation.

According to the actress, the issue is not dancing itself, but the reason behind it. She noted that dancing should be a form of enjoyment, not a compulsory strategy to sell a movie, warning that it loses its professionalism when treated as a chore.

Omotola explained that her role is to act and engage in interviews or conversations to promote her projects, while marketing and distribution should remain the responsibility of professionals.

“I already did the project,” she said, adding that requiring creatives to perform extra stunts just for visibility is not how the industry should operate.
