Nigerian boxing star, Elizabeth Oshoba, has signed a new promotional deal with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the boxing company owned by popular YouTuber and boxer, Jake Paul.

Oshoba, who currently holds the WBC Silver and IBO International Featherweight titles, joins MVP’s growing list of top female fighters. Other big names under the promotion include Ellie Scotney, Shurretta Metcalf, and Jennifer Miranda—all champions in their divisions.

The 25-year-old made headlines in 2024 when she became the first Nigerian woman to win a world boxing title. She now holds an unbeaten record of 9 wins, no losses, following her recent victory over Czech boxer Lenka Volejnikova in London.

She is currently ranked 10th in the WBA featherweight category and 4th in the super lightweight division. Before going pro, Oshoba had a strong amateur career—winning a bronze medal at the 2019 African Games and a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Speaking after her latest win, Oshoba told The Punch, “Every fight is a step towards greatness. This wasn’t just about winning, but also about improving on my technique and showing my versatility in the ring.” Her deal with MVP is expected to bring her more international exposure. There are reports she might fight on the undercard of the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 event, which is set for July 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The event will be streamed live on Netflix. Oshoba already has two major career wins: the IBO super featherweight title and the WBC Silver featherweight belt—won after knocking out Italy’s Michela Braga in Copenhagen. With MVP now in her corner, Oshoba is aiming to become the top-ranked female boxer in the world as she continues her rapid rise in the sport.
