Nigerian TikTok sensation Peller has fired back at veteran rapper Ycee, describing him as a “very anyhow OG” following critical comments made by the musician.
The online feud ignited after Ycee appeared on the Afropolitan podcast, where he openly condemned the nature of Peller’s digital content, labeling it as outrageous and using the phrase “Peller culture” to describe a broader trend of uneducational internet fame.
During his podcast appearance, Ycee questioned the societal impact and educational value of modern viral skits, lamenting that intelligence and academic excellence are no longer celebrated in Nigeria. He cited Peller as a prime example of this shift, arguing that the entertainment landscape is increasingly valuing shock factor over substance.
“The same olodo uprising wey una dey use promote una noise, very anyhow OG. If you’re an elderly person, respect yourself. Must you mention names? You yourself are an illiterate because, as an elderly man with sense, you should be able to make your point without mentioning anyone’s name.” Peller said.

Peller did not take the criticism lightly, quickly releasing a video and a social media post to address the rapper’s remarks directly. The content creator faulted Ycee for breaking the unwritten rules of industry respect, arguing that an experienced figure should have the maturity to make a conceptual point about the industry without targeting specific individuals by name.
In a sharp counter-attack, Peller turned the tables on the “Jagaban” crooner, pointing out that mainstream musicians frequently rely on the exact same viral internet spaces and creators to promote their music. He argued that dismissing the digital space while simultaneously benefiting from its promotional power was hypocritical, concluding that Ycee’s handling of the situation showed a lack of real wisdom.
