Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has responded after actress Lizzy Anjorin accused her mother, Iyabo Ojo, of taking her to Soso Soberekon’s wedding without a formal invitation.
The controversy began over the weekend after Anjorin posted a video on Instagram questioning the presence of Iyabo and Priscilla at the music executive’s wedding in Warri.
Anjorin, who has been involved in a long-running public feud with Iyabo, alleged that the actress attended the ceremony to receive financial gifts.
She also questioned why Iyabo travelled to the event with her daughter when several other guests reportedly attended without their children.
“You travelled for a party just because you needed donations, just because you are broke and poor. That is why you travelled with your daughter to the party,” Anjorin alleged.
The actress further asked how many other guests had taken their children to the wedding.
Priscilla hints at legal action
Priscilla responded through her Instagram Stories on Monday without mentioning Anjorin by name.
She rejected the suggestion that her mother controlled her decision to attend the ceremony, stressing that she is an adult capable of making independent choices.
“I’m not a child. I am a wife and a mom, and I’m capable of making my own decisions,” she wrote.
Priscilla also insisted that she would never attend an event without receiving an invitation.
“I will never go where I am not invited,” she added.
Addressing her previous silence over Anjorin’s repeated comments, the influencer suggested that she was gathering information for possible legal action.
“I have been quiet about this lady because she is clearly mentally ill and I am building my case. That’s all I’ll say,” Priscilla wrote.
Neither Iyabo nor Anjorin has publicly announced any formal legal proceedings over the latest exchange
