Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has offered insights into his 16-year-old son Cristiano Jr.’s blossoming football career, predicting that the Al-Nassr youth player will eventually outgrow him in physical stature.
Speaking in footage shared by Netflix Sports, the 41-year-old star praised his eldest son’s demeanor off the pitch while highlighting the dedication required to reach the highest level.
Physical potential meets mental determination
Cristiano Jr., who has already progressed into Portugal’s under-16 national team setup, was described by his father as an honest, well-behaved young player. Ronaldo noted that his son is already larger and stronger than he was at 16, though he emphasized that maintaining drive and passion remains the ultimate hurdle.
“He’s a good kid. Honest, a good kid,” Ronaldo said. “When I was his age, he was a bit bigger and stronger. I was smaller. I believe he will bigger me in size. The hunger is the most challenging aspect.”
