Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has dismissed long-standing claims linking her past relationship history to actress Tonto Dikeh, insisting she had no personal connection with the actress before marrying her husband, Olakunle Churchill.
The Gambia-born actress made the clarification in a series of video posts shared on her social media platforms in the early hours of Wednesday, where she also addressed reports suggesting a strain in her marriage following viral claims that she had unfollowed her husband online.
Speaking directly to her followers, Meurer denied allegations that she was once a close associate of Dikeh or that she met Churchill through her. According to her, both women had never interacted physically or maintained any form of personal relationship.
“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk of her best friend. I have never met her. I have never seen her. She doesn’t have my number and I don’t have her number,” she said.
The actress further challenged individuals who claim otherwise to provide proof, maintaining that narratives suggesting she was introduced to Churchill by Dikeh were false and malicious.
“I am telling you guys, you are hearing it from the horse’s mouth. If anyone has proof, bring it out. I met my husband separately from that other life that he has,” she added.
Meurer also addressed speculation surrounding her social media activity after reports surfaced that she had unfollowed her husband, a development that fueled fresh rumours of tension within the marriage.
To counter the claims, she shared video evidence showing she still follows Churchill’s account, explaining that the platform even displayed how long both accounts had been connected.
“I have no reason to unfollow my husband. I did not unfollow my husband. I don’t know what technical issue or what game anyone is playing somewhere,” she said.
The clarification comes amid renewed public interest in the relationship history involving the trio, years after the highly publicised separation between Churchill and Dikeh dominated entertainment headlines.
Churchill and Meurer were reported to have married in 2019 and welcomed their first child together in 2021.
