Popular Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has publicly addressed a death prophecy made by a Nigerian cleric, issuing a defiant response during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The cleric, known as Alpha Olopa Meta, had predicted Osupa's death, claiming it would occur on January 10, 2026.
In response to the prophecy, Osupa stated, "Fake Alpha and prophet please don’t wish me dead. Everyone who wishes me dead will die in my place." He further warned, "Close enemies, unknown enemies, enemies of my career and the ones in my neighborhood, better don’t wish me dead, or you would die before me."
The controversial cleric had previously claimed to have pleaded with God on Osupa's behalf and advised the singer to offer prayers with a ram. The prophecy and Osupa's strong reaction have sparked discussions among fans and the public.
