Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez is set to leave the club after Saudi Pro League side, Al-Hilal, agreed to sign him for €53 million (about £46.3 million).

The Uruguay international is now expected to undergo a medical before completing the move.

Nunez, 26, joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for an initial fee of £64 million. He scored 40 goals in 143 games but started only eight matches in the Premier League last season as the Reds won the title.

Selling Nunez could help Liverpool raise money to go after Newcastle striker, Alexander Isak.

The Reds made an opening offer of £110 million for the Swedish star last week, but Newcastle rejected the bid. The Magpies want at least £150 million for the 25-year-old.
