Controversial social media critic VeryDarkman has thrown down the gauntlet — promising that gadget sellers in Nigeria better brace themselves for a price crash when he returns from China.
In a heated video message shared online, he accused local sellers of exploiting consumers by wildly marking up gadgets that — he claims — cost just a fraction abroad.
“Power bank of N36,000 here, you’ll see it for N6,000 there. Original charger they sell for N15,000 here — in China it’s just N1,200.”
“Una don milk Nigerians too much — this exploitation must stop.”
He also hit back at the idea that Chinese-made tech is automatically “fake,” pointing out that many so-called “UK-used” phones actually come from China.
VeryDarkman warned gadget dealers: once he lands, it’s war on price gouging. He urged them to pray, saying he’ll make things “cheap” again for everyday Nigerians.
